If your computer is not already configured
in network properties, please follow the directions below.
On some systems, the Windows CD-ROM may be needed.

1. Go to my computer.
2. Then to control panel.

3. After, go to network

| Some computers may have more items
under configuration. ILCS only recommends having what is shown
in the example, which is Client for Microsoft Networks, Dial-up
Adapter, and TCP/IP.
4. Click on TCP/IP
5. Then hit the properties button.

If you do not have any items under
configuration, then do the following:
1. Hit add
2. Click on Client
3. Then hit add again
4. After, a screen will appear with two sections. On the
left select Microsoft, on the right select Client for Microsoft
Networks.
5. Then hit OK
6. Hit add again
7. Click on Adapter
8. Then hit add
9. After, a screen will appear with two sections. On the
left select Microsoft, on the right select Dial up Adapter.
10. Then hit OK
11. Hit add one more time
12. Click on Protocol
13. Then hit add
14. After, a screen will appear with two sections. On the
left select Microsoft, on the right select TCP/IP
15. Then hit OK

6. Some computers may prompt you on
this screen. Simply hit OK

7. After, another screen will appear.
8. Under the IP Address tab, click on the circle next to Obtain
an IP address automatically.

9. Go to the WINS Configuration
tab.
10. Click on the circle next to Disable WINS Resolution.

11. Go to the Gateway tab.
12. It should all be blank.

13. Go to the DNS Configuration tab.
14. Click on the circle next to Disable DNS.

15. Go to the Bindings tab.
16. It should have a check in Client for Microsoft Networks.
If it has more in this section, leave it alone.
17. After, hit OK on this screen and then on the previous
screen as well.

Note: You will need to restart
the computer and you may need a Windows CD-ROM depending on your
system. If you have any problems regarding these issue,
please consult www.microsoft.com
